Today, as I celebrate another year of life, I pause to honor the woman I have become, the woman I am becoming, and the woman I am yet to be. Today is not just my birthday.
It is a celebration of survival, growth, resilience, healing, dreams, lessons, victories, and even the battles no one saw me fight.

Today, I celebrate myself; I am Edelquinn Msugshima Clementina Akighir.
I am a woman of purpose, I am a woman of strength, I am a woman of grace, I am a woman whose story is still being written by the hands of God and shaped by the courage within her.

As I look back on the years behind me, I see moments of joy that filled my heart and moments of pain that tested my spirit.
I see doors that opened and doors that closed.
I see prayers answered and prayers still waiting for their appointed time.
Yet through it all, I am still here.
And for that, I am deeply grateful.

Today, I choose to celebrate not only my achievements but also my endurance.
I celebrate every tear that watered the seeds of my growth.
I celebrate every disappointment that redirected me to a better path.
I celebrate every mistake that taught me wisdom.
I celebrate every sacrifice that made me stronger.
I celebrate every dream that still lives within me.

Today, I forgive myself for the times I doubted my worth.
I forgive myself for the opportunities I missed.
I forgive myself for being too hard on myself.
I forgive myself for every moment I felt I was not enough.
Because the truth is, I have always been enough.
I was enough when I started.
I am enough now.
And I will remain enough as I continue this journey.

Today, I welcome myself back home.
Back to self-love, Back to self-belief, Back to self-appreciation.
Back to the beautiful soul that God created me to be.
I will no longer shrink myself to fit into spaces that were never designed for me.
I will no longer apologize for my dreams.
I will no longer underestimate the greatness that lives within me.

I choose to walk boldly in my purpose.
I choose to embrace my uniqueness.
I choose to honor my journey.
I choose to love myself with kindness and patience.
As I step into this new year of my life, I speak life over myself.

May my gifts make room for me.
May my efforts yield abundant results.
May my vision become reality.
May my purpose touch lives.
May my voice be heard.
May my dreams flourish.
May my light shine brighter than ever before.

May God announce me in places my feet have not yet reached.
May He open doors that no one can shut.
May He surround me with favor, wisdom, peace, good health, and genuine love.
Today, I look at myself and smile.
Not because life has been perfect.
But because God has been faithful.

Look how far I have come.
Look how much I have grown.
Look how many storms I have survived.
Look at the strength hidden behind my smile.
Look at the hope that still burns within me.
Look at the woman who refused to give up.
Today, I celebrate her.
I celebrate me, I am here.
I have come this far.
And by God's grace, I shall go even farther.

I am powerful.
I am capable.
I am resilient.
I am blessed.
I am loved.
I am enough.
I am becoming everything God created me to be.
And as I begin this new chapter, I do so with gratitude in my heart, faith in my spirit, and hope in my future.

Happy Birthday to me.
Happy Birthday Edelquinn C. Akighir , Edel, Quinnybel
The best chapters of my story are still ahead.❤️🎂✨ please say a prayer for me 🙏

From Doubt to Dough: Amina's Journey of Sweet Success

In the bustling heart of Kaduna, a young woman named Amina carried the weight of
unspoken dreams. Life had dealt her a challenging hand; a childhood illness left her with a limp, and the whispers of society often overshadowed her bright spirit. She longed for
independence, for a way to contribute, but opportunities seemed as elusive as a mirage in the desert. One day, a flyer caught her eye; an announcement for a skill acquisition program. It spoke of baking, confectionery, and empowerment for young women, including those with disabilities. Hesitation gnawed at her, but a flicker of hope, brighter than any doubt, urged her forward. With a deep breath, Amina enrolled.

The Quinnybel Ventures program was more than just a baking class; it was a sanctuary of
learning and encouragement. Under the patient guidance of her instructors, Amina's hands,
once hesitant, began to move with purpose. She learned the delicate art of kneading
dough, the precise measurements for perfect pastries, and the vibrant magic of cake
decoration. Her limp, which once felt like a burden, faded into the background as her focus sharpened, her confidence bloomed with every perfectly baked treat. Her fellow trainees, a diverse group of young women from various backgrounds, became her sisters. They shared stories, laughter, and tips, creating a tapestry of support that uplifted them all. Amina discovered that her unique perspective, honed by her life experiences, allowed her to create intricate designs and flavors that truly stood out. Upon completing the program, Amina didn't just have a certificate; she had a skill, a
passion, and a newfound belief in herself. She started a small home-based business, selling her delicious chin-chin, egg buns, and cakes to neighbors and friends. Word of her talent spread, and soon, orders poured in. Amina, once shy and uncertain, was now a thriving entrepreneur, her hands creating not just sweet treats, but a sweet future for herself and her family.

Amina's story is a testament to the transformative power of opportunity and inclusivity. At Quinnybel Ventures, we believe that every woman and girl, regardless of her circumstances, deserves the chance to unlock her potential and build a life of dignity and purpose. Our annual Skills Acquisition Empowerment Program is designed to do just that, to equip young women, including those with disabilities, with the practical skills and unwavering confidence they need to thrive.

Inspired by Amina's journey? Join us in empowering more young women and girls! The 2nd edition of our Skills Acquisition Empowerment Program is scheduled for October 2026 in two different communities of
Nasarawa State, aiming to empower 60 beneficiaries. Together, we can turn dreams into delicious realities.

Cultivating Confidence and Breaking Barriers: The Story Behind Quinnybel Ventures' Skills Acquisition Journey.
Every dream begins with an opportunity.

Sometimes, that opportunity comes in the form of a classroom. Other times, it arrives in a simple invitation that says, "Come and learn. Come and believe in yourself."
At Quinnybel Ventures, we have had the privilege of witnessing countless moments where hope met opportunity and lives were transformed.

In October 2025, we hosted the first edition of our Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program. Young women and girls walked into the training with different stories. Some came carrying financial burdens. Some struggled with self-doubt. Others had always dreamed of starting a business but lacked the knowledge, resources, or someone to believe in them. Among them were individuals who had been made to feel that their gender, background, or disability defined what they could achieve.

Yet, over the course of those few days, something beautiful unfolded.
As flour was measured, dough was kneaded, pastries were baked, beverages were prepared, and liquid soap was produced, confidence quietly began to grow. The room that was once filled with uncertainty became alive with laughter, creativity, teamwork, and determination.

With every successful recipe, every neatly packaged product, and every encouraging conversation, the participants began to realize something powerful:
They were capable.
That is the true power of skills acquisition.

At Quinnybel Ventures, we believe practical skills are more than a means of earning an income. They restore dignity. They build confidence. They create opportunities. A young woman who learns a profitable skill is not simply learning how to bake or produce household products she is gaining the confidence to provide for herself, support her family, contribute to her community, and dream without limits.
The impact doesn't stop with one person.

One empowered woman can inspire her siblings, create employment, mentor another young girl, and become a beacon of hope in her community. Like ripples spreading across still water, one opportunity creates many more.
This is why inclusivity remains at the heart of everything we do.
We firmly believe that disability should never determine destiny. Too often, people living with disabilities are excluded from opportunities to learn, earn, and thrive. At Quinnybel Ventures, we are intentional about creating a safe and supportive learning environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and empowered.

When women with disabilities learn alongside others, barriers begin to disappear. Confidence replaces fear. Potential becomes more visible than limitation. Communities begin to celebrate ability instead of focusing on disability, creating stronger, more compassionate societies where everyone has something valuable to contribute.
The greatest joy comes long after the training has ended.
It is seeing participants start home-based businesses, earn their own income, support their families, and return with stories of resilience and success. These stories remind us that investing in one woman is investing in an entire community.

Those stories are also the reason we are preparing for something even bigger.

This October 2026, Quinnybel Ventures will host the Second Edition of our Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program. Building on the success of our inaugural edition, we are expanding our reach to empower even more young women, girls, and persons with disabilities with practical entrepreneurial skills that promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
Our vision remains simple but powerful to take opportunity where it is needed most and ensure that no willing learner is left behind because of circumstance.
As we prepare for this next chapter, we know there are many communities where young women are eager to learn but have little or no access to practical empowerment opportunities.
Perhaps your community is one of them.

If you genuinely believe your community would benefit from this empowerment program, we would love to hear from you.
Kindly send us a direct message (DM) with the name of your community and tell us why you believe it should be considered for our upcoming outreach. Your message could be the beginning of someone else's transformation story.

At Quinnybel Ventures, our mission extends beyond baking and confectioneries. We are passionate about building lives, nurturing entrepreneurs, creating opportunities, and empowering women and youth to become confident leaders within their communities.
Because when confidence is cultivated, barriers begin to fall.
And when opportunities are made inclusive, entire communities rise together.

Quinnybel Ventures is a bakes and confectioneries business committed to empowering women and youth through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and community development.

The Dignity of Work: Why Quinnybel Ventures Believes in Skills Over Handouts.

In a world where quick fixes and temporary relief often dominate the conversation about poverty, Quinnybel Ventures stands firm on a different philosophy: true empowerment is built, not given.👌

As we prepare for our annual Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program this October, we find ourselves reflecting on a fundamental question: What does it really mean to empower someone?🤔

Beyond the Stigma of Dependency

Across Nigeria, countless well-meaning interventions have focused on distributing relief materials; bags of rice, cash transfers, and other forms of charity. While these have their place in emergencies, they often create a cycle of dependency rather than break it. They address hunger today but do little to prevent hunger tomorrow.

At Quinnybel Ventures, we believe in a different approach. We believe in the dignity of work. We believe that every person regardless of their background, gender, or circumstances deserves the opportunity to earn their living through their own hands and creativity.

This is why we focus on skills acquisition. When a young woman learns to make puff-puff that people line up to buy, she doesn't just feed herself. She discovers her worth. She builds confidence. She becomes a contributor to her community rather than a dependent on it.
This October, 60 individuals will gather in Karu LGA for a three-day intensive training program. They will not receive cash or food. Instead, they will receive something far more valuable: the tools to create their own success.

Our program offers practical training in three areas:

· Pastry Production: Learning to make puff-puff, egg buns, and other baked goods
· Local Beverage Preparation: Mastering the production of zobo, iced tea, and soya bean drinks
· Liquid Soap Production: Understanding how to formulate, produce, and package quality liquid soap

But we do not stop at technical training. Each participant will receive a starter pack to begin production immediately after the training. They will learn basic business principles; pricing, customer relations, and financial management. They will also receive a certificate of completion, a small but significant credential that opens doors.
At its heart, Quinnybel Ventures is about more than a single program. It is about building a culture where enterprise is celebrated, where hard work is rewarded, and where every person believes they have something valuable to offer.
We have seen what happens when people are given skills rather than handouts. We have seen mothers who once struggled to feed their children become the primary breadwinners in their homes. We have seen young men who felt hopeless become employers themselves, hiring others and growing their businesses.
These transformations do not happen overnight, but they begin in moments like this when someone decides to invest in themselves, and when organizations like Quinnybel Ventures create the space for that investment to grow.

As we count down to October 15th, we invite you to believe in this vision. Whether you are a potential participant, a community leader, or simply someone who believes in the power of skills over handouts, there is a place for you in this movement.
The 60 individuals who will gather in Appma Village and Angwan Hausawa are not just trainees. They are future entrepreneurs, future employers, and future leaders in their communities. They are proof that with the right opportunity, every person can build a future worth celebrating.
This October, we are not giving handouts. We are building futures.

Empowering girls. Building futures. One skill at a time.
