For sixteen years we’ve been in the restaurant industry, fourteen of which we have had Getrude on our team. I’ve told the story before, how she stared with us a pot wash as a fresh nineteen year old with a glimmer in her eyes, and quickly worked her way up through sheer determination and natural talent for cooking and leadership. For the last seven years she’s been our head chef at Godenfang, my sidekick, my right hand. Today was a bittersweet day, as we had to bid her farewell as she takes on the next step in her own journey. Getrude Henda we thank you for everything that you’ve brought to our table, your role in shaping Godenfang is immeasurable, and you have set the standard for chefs that succeed you. It has been a privilege working with you, and we know that your future holds great potential! Wishing you well. We’ll miss you G, so much ❤️
