BRAAI ON THE BEACH COMPETITION – NEW DATE!

Walvis Bay… ARE YOU THE NEXT BRAAI MASTER?

Due to the weather, we’ve moved our Braai on the Beach Competition to Saturday, 28 November — and we’ve also made it easier and more affordable to enter!

Grab your braai tongs, round up your team and come show us what you can do over the coals!

HOW TO ENTER

Teams can consist of 1 to a maximum of 3 people.

Entry Fee: N$100 per person

So whether you want to take on the challenge alone, enter as a duo or bring a team of three — you’re in!

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO PREPARE?

Each team must prepare and present 4 items:
1. MEAT DISH
Your choice of meat, prepared on the braai.

2. SIDE DISH
A side of your choice to complement your meat.

3. SALAD
Get creative! Your salad must include at least one component prepared on the braai.

4. BRAAIBROODJIE
The ultimate braai classic! Go traditional or give it your own twist — but it must be prepared and toasted on the braai.

And yes… creativity is encouraged! We want to see what you can do with fire, flavour and a little imagination.

THE IMPORTANT STUFF

Set-up starts from 08:00.

Preparation and cooking may only begin from 10:00.

Everything must be prepared on the day — no pre-cooking, pre-chopping, pre-marinating, mixing or assembling beforehand.

Your creations will be put before our 3 judges, so bring your A-game! We’ll be looking at flavour, cooking technique, creativity, presentation and that all-important overall impression.
