Restaurante Marisol Since 1958, Marisol Restaurant has been famous for its legendary LM prawns, today we are proud to continue this tradition.

All seafood is bought locally from the Katembe fishermen. Marisol Restaurant is open throughout the week. This restaurant sits high over the beach, enjoying spectacular views from several balconies and decks of the Maputo skyline. One deck is in the shape of a grand piano, the other is a guitar. Wonderful during the daytime in the cool breeze, beautiful at night. In the Portuguese colonial past, dining on prawns at Marisol was a must around old Lourenço Marques where boats filled with locals would cross from the other side of the bay. The long-standing tradition continues today, the Restaurant Marisol specializes in Indian Ocean cuisine with an emphasis on the freshest seafood, delivered by local fishermen. Most of our vegetables come from our own organic farm in Catembe. Just with a local team of women we are in 2 years cultivating 8 ha's of vegetables and fruits and totally organic is our philosophy. For some refreshing cocktails, our pool bar is the place to be. Feel free to go for a game of petanque with some pastis.
