Workshop pekaka wellcome to pekaka cafe especially set up for youths with special needs. This is a platform for them

PEKAKA is registered under the Registration of Societies Act (1966) of Malaysia. The society was formed in November 1998 by several parents of children with special needs to provide assistance to our children in acquiring quality education. OUR GOAL is QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL

OUR MISSION is to :

• advocate quality education for all children with special needs in an inclusive environment in nor

mal school
• prepare children with special needs to attend normal schools by providing the necessary skills through an early intervention programme
• cultivate public awareness on the right of every child to receive inclusive education in normal school
• ensure that children with special needs can attend their neighbourhood schools

During our wonderful McDonald's outing sponsored by Friends of charity organisation, Butterworth, Jason gave everyone a special surprise ❤️

Every special child has a story.
And behind every story,
there is a family quietly holding on with love and hope.

Students from Han Chiang University College came to PEKAKA Workshop to film and document the real-life journeys of our special youths and parents through an 8-minute human story documentary project ✨

Through interviews, daily activities, bread-making, coffee learning, and simple conversations,
they captured something very meaningful —
not disability,
but courage, growth, and love ❤️

Sometimes society only sees their limitations.
But as parents, we see every small improvement, every effort, and every smile as something precious 🤍

We hope this documentary can help more people understand that special children are not asking for sympathy —
they simply hope to be accepted, respected, and given a chance. 🌱
