Our Identity & Food

La Cocina is a Spanish term for “The Kitchen” or “Art of Cooking”. Our managing director Mr. Jeganathan is a Swiss-trained chef with an extensive experience in hotel & catering trade in various countries. He was also with the world famous cruise liner - Queen Elizabeth 2 for a period of 12 years. Mr. Jega’s years of experience means customers at La Cocina can expect the very best in food, wine and service. La Cocina is not just about food & wine, it is an experience!

Jeganathan’s vast experience in western and local cuisine has enabled him to bring a unique taste of Spain to Kuala Lumpur bearing in mind that the food is Muslim friendly! He was trained in Switzerland, and prepares traditional Spanish dishes with a highly cultured French flair. He tolerates no short cuts in the kitchen, and it shows! While we are most famous for our Paella, we are building an equal reputation for our sangria and tapas offerings as well. But come and see for yourself! You are sure to find your own favourite quickly!
