Are you someone who loves whipping up tasty creations in a warm, neighborhood cafe atmosphere? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Chef to join our team at Upstairs Cafe!
Responsibilities:
* Cook up a storm with our tried-and-true recipes, crafting dishes that make taste buds dance
* Keep the kitchen running smoothly by preparing orders efficiently while keeping quality top-notch
* Work together with our kitchen team to keep things organized and ingredients stocked
* Bring your creative flair to the table, collaborating with us on new menu ideas and specials
Requirements:
* Got experience cooking up a storm? Awesome! Previous kitchen experience is a big plus
* Passionate cook who doesn’t have professional experience are welcome!
* Safety first! Knowledge of food safety rules and regulations is key
* Thrive under pressure? Perfect! We love a can-do attitude in our bustling kitchen
* Communication is key! We’re all about teamwork and making sure everyone’s on the same page
* Can you handle the heat? Weekend and evening availability is a must

👋 Hey neighbors! After over a decade of serving you at our humble little cafe, we’ve come to the realization that the heart (kitchen) of our establishment is reaching the end of its life cycle. We’ve cooked up hundreds of thousands of pastas, sandwiches, and weekend brunches over the years, and it’s finally time for a much-needed upgrade.

But have no fear! We’re committed to providing you, our loyal customers, with an even better dining experience. We’ll be upgrading our kitchen from *18 to 31 December 2023* and will be closed during that time to bring you even more delicious options on the menu. So stay tuned for updates as we work on this exciting transformation! 🍽️
