Some places are built with tables, chairs and ovens. Others are built with memories, familiar faces, laughter, conversations and the smell of freshly baked canelés.
Summation became so much more than just a café.
The past year has been challenging, and deciding to pause what we’ve built was never easy. There were beautiful days, difficult days, and so many moments that reminded us why we started in the first place.
To everyone who walked through our doors, shared a canelé, brought a friend, came back again, or quietly supported us from afar — thank you. You probably never knew how much your support carried us.
For now, the oven will cool and the lights will quietly turn off.
But the memories stay.
And perhaps one day, somewhere, somehow, we’ll bake you a canelé again.
