Yes, Kampung is a Malay word.
We knew that when we named ourselves.

The rattan chairs. The warm light. A crew that's friendly but never hovers. No MSG, no shortcuts. The way a mother cooks.

That's the restaurant we set out to build. And that's what we're bringing to 1 Utama.

Eight years ago, we opened a small kitchen in Seksyen 17 with nothing but third-generation Peranakan recipes and the hope that someone would come.

You came. And you kept coming back.

You brought your parents. Then your kids. You called us by name before you sat down. Some of you stayed so long — you stopped feeling like customers and started feeling like family.

That's not something we plan. That's something that grows over eight years of honest food and even better people.

Seksyen 17 .17 is going to serve our last plate on 24 may.

But we didn't just pack up and leave. We packed up — and we built something.

The rattan chairs you sat on for years? Restored and moved. New lighting. Better kitchen. A kids corner for the whole family. And a pork broth we've been quietly working on — finally ready.

Same recipes. Same rempah. Same faces that know your name.

We are still here. 🧡

8 years ago, we opened a small kitchen in Seksyen 17 with nothing much except energy, stubbornness… and a dream.

We never expected this little shop would change our lives.

Some of you watched us grow from a young couple into parents. Some of you saw me pregnant, carrying baby while serving tables. Some of you became regulars that our staff greet by name before you even sit down.

This was never just a restaurant to us.

It became a part of our life.

And because of that, this decision was incredibly difficult.

Kampung Dining Seksyen 17 will officially close on 𝟮𝟰 𝗠𝗮𝘆 as we focus our energy into our next chapter — our family, our pork broth dream, and building a better experience for all of you at 1 Utama ❤️

这可能是我在PJ吃过
份量最大的一盘猪肉椰浆饭。😳

👉 厚切咖喱五花肉
👉 咖喱浓到可以拌完整盘饭
👉 一上桌真的会愣一下的那种“大”

但重点来了——
只要RM22。
在🇲🇾，这种份量真的很少见。
