Bistro à Table (pronounced "ah-tah-bl") is a romantic hole in the wall located in Section 17, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Lunch is available upon reservation. The bistro food pays homage to modern French comfort food, while adopting local elements - we like to call it "adaptive French cuisine". My Favourite Beef

Someone asked me what my favourite beef was. It’s almost impossible for me to identify with a singular answer so here’s my personal list (in ALPHABETICAL order, not in terms of ranking because I really cannot pinpoint which one would top the list)

Italian Carima Friesian (Emilia Romagna, Ribeye cut)
Highly marbled, but a deeply-flavoured & tasty beefy cut. The ribeye cut is for me the best because the sinew is still fine and tender. The sirloin, though a little tougher from the nature of the cut itself, is especially beefy but I would not cook it past medium rare.

Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu (Miyazaki prefecture, Zabuton cut)
As well as the very well-known Kobe, this Wagyu hails from the Miyazaki prefecture. I am particularly impressed with the level of record-keeping one simple sticker contains on each cut – from the s*x of the cattle, the date of the slaughter, the side of the cow, etc.

US Olive-fed Full blood Tajima Black Wagyu (US, tomahawk cut)
One of the World’s rarest steaks, this beef mysteriously appears sporadically in the market and has earned a reputation that is shrouded in part fascination and mystery. An interesting mix of both worlds famous for beef: Japanese cows bred in America and fed olives. The beef has the bite of American beef, though the marbling is not as fine and eerily tastes ever so slightly like lamb.
