☕️ BAR TAKE OVER｜POHUTUKAWA x RISO

關於甜點，與 Riso Coffee 合作將近一年後，我們對 Balakong & Cheras 區域的熟悉度終於提升了一點（？）

每週拜訪一次的頻率，讓我們學會不靠 Waze 也能在不同路線間自由切換。即使拐錯一個路口也不必太慌張，總有另一條路可以抵達目的地，而且不必繞路。

這，大概是這一年來最深刻的感想。

（啊，抱歉，有點離題了…）

謝謝 Riso Coffee 的兩位夥伴給予我們的信任與支持，讓我們的甜點有機會延伸到 PJ 以外的地區。

After almost a year of collaborating with Riso Coffee, we’ve grown a little more familiar with the Balakong & Cheras area (finally…?).
With our weekly visits, we can now navigate the routes without relying on Waze. Even if we take the wrong turn, there’s no need to panic—there’s always another way to reach our destination, without going off track.

That might just be the biggest lesson we’ve learned this past year.

(Oh—sorry, got a bit off-topic…)

A big thank you to the two partners at Riso Coffee for trusting and supporting us, and for giving our desserts a chance to reach beyond PJ.
If you’re curious to know more, we’ll be serving specially-made desserts, hand-brewed coffee, and a few fun signature drinks throughout the event.

(Though we’re not bringing xiao hua this time—sorry!)

☕ Espressos for the Next Two Weeks

“Can I choose which espresso beans you use?”
— (Regretfully) Not before.

But now … we finally can …

We’ve recently added a sleek, precision-driven coffee grinder to our setup — cold and clinical in design, but genuinely exciting for us. It finally allows us to expand our espresso options, even just a little.

To better suit different flavor preferences, we’re trying something new: letting each featured coffee stick around a little longer.

This round, we’re showcasing two espresso beans:

✨Guatemala & Ethiopia blend by The Roast Things

Two very different flavor profiles, both from roasters we deeply trust.

If you’re having trouble choosing — or curious how each coffee expresses itself as espresso — feel free to ask our baristas. We’re always happy to help you find something you’ll love.

(Our hand-brewed coffee menu is still refreshed regularly — 6 to 8 options, rotated every few weeks.)

Practice Makes Pour-Fect

Some baristas chase the clarity of a perfect filter brew.
Some speak through the quiet art of pouring milk into symmetry.

Some possess a refined palate, always seeking balance in every sip.

And some, with hearts full of knowledge, share generously—cup after cup.

After months of quiet growth and daily craft, we’re grateful to have found a team that embodies all these qualities. Now, a few among them are ready to refine their latte art even further—perhaps stepping onto the stage of competition someday soon.

But every craft demands practice. And practice takes milk, beans, and countless pours. Rather than let any of it go to waste, we would like to invite you to be part of this quiet, beautiful process.

Starting this August, every Tuesday to Friday, from 5pm to 7pm, we open our doors for Latte Art Practice Hours.
During this time, all hot lattes will be served at RM8.

The same beans, the same milk, the same intention—
just poured with a more curious hand and a freer heart.

Please note that our coffee shop will be closed this Friday (May 16) and Saturday (May 17).

Although our core team won’t be around this Sunday (May 18), we’ve invited a few seasoned guest baristas to take over for the day.
