Reimagining our favorite Malaysian breakfast, just in time for National Day.

We took inspiration from the classic kopitiam staple, pairing a brown butter white chocolate cookie base, coated in crunchy kaya butter toast crumbs, with house-made Gula Melaka kaya and a slab of cold salted butter in the center. Topped off with our signature mascarpone whip and a mini toast bite across the top. Itโ€™s nostalgic, deeply aromatic, and meant to be eaten chilled. โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿž

Still processing our very first pop-up weekend..

โ€‹To be honest, I didnโ€™t know what to expect. I kept prep quantities intentionally small to minimize waste, especially knowing it was a smaller market with lighter weekend foot traffic. Since it was a trial run, I relied purely on our menu board and banner setup rather than a full display counter.

It was pure hustle behind the scenes. 12 hours kitchen days beforehand, early morning prep to keep everything fresh, and late night bakes after the market closed...

โ€‹But you guys made every single minute worth it.

โ€‹We completely sold out of Pistachio, had regular customers and friends stop by just to support, and received so much heartwarming feedback from people trying us for the first time.

โ€‹Thank you for taking a chance on a small business based off a menu sign. Every chat, purchase, and warm word meant so much to me.

โ€‹This is only the beginning for mocomojo. Hope to see you guys in the next one! ๐ŸคŽ
