Every September, I get to celebrate my favourite human, Raphaël ... and if anyone deserves their own box, it's him.

I honestly don't know how I'd do life without him.
I definitely don't know how I'd run Halo without him.

He's responsible for some of Halo's questionable doughnut names.
Blue Balls. Doukie. Lemon Party.
Yep... that's all him.

For someone so mature and reliable, he somehow still has the humour of a twelve-year-old. And honestly? It makes life so much more fun.

What most people don't get to see is how fiercely he loves.
Me. Halo. The people he calls family.

He protects what he loves with everything he has, and I've never once doubted that I have someone completely in my corner.

Happy birthday, my love.

Everyone deserves a Raphaël in their corner.
I'm incredibly lucky that he's mine 👼🏽

Some first bites are sweeter than others. 🥹
This one's a little bittersweet.

Leeya has officially left Halo. It's hard to put into words just how much she's meant to us over the last 3 years. She wasn't just part of the team... She played an integral role in building the Halo you love and know today.

I'll probably cry if we say more than that. 🥲
So instead, here's one last First Bite with her.

Thank you for every laugh, every long day, every "bullying" moment, and every doughnut you poured your heart into.
We'll always be cheering you on, Lee. 🫰🏻

We've spent years creating new flavours.
Somehow, you always find your way back to this one.

For many people, Burnt & Salty IS Halo.

It's the first doughnut of ours they fell in love with. It's the doughnut they come back for. It's the doughnut they introduce their friends to and order again and again.

Burnt & Salty has outlived menu changes, seasonal specials, and every attempt we've made to retire it.
We're okay with that.

After all, classics become classics for a reason. 😉

The Gasket Alley was never just where we rented a unit.
It was where Halo grew up.
It was where ideas felt safe to try.
Where neighbours became friends.
Where customers lingered longer than they planned to.

As management changes and the name evolves,
we just want to say thank you.

Thank you for creating a space we wanted to belong to.
A place that let us become ourselves.
A place where we could experiment, fail, sell out, cry and celebrate.

Thank you for building something people wanted to explore, gather in and return to and thank you for creating a place we were proud to be part of.

The Gasket Alley gave Halo a home in our early chapters and we’ll always be grateful for that
We’ll miss saying “See you at Gasket.”
Whatever it’s called next,
we’ll always remember it as
the place where Halo became Halo.

They are precise, loud, funny, occasionally dramatic, extremely good at what they do ...and sometimes agree to wear questionable costumes for the sake of fun.

Which is why the doughnuts taste the way they do 😂

Wait for maghrib. Wait before reaching. Wait for sweetness.
We learn that 6:58pm feels longer than it is.

And then Eid arrives.
The house gets louder. The salams for forgiveness get longer. Everything tastes sweeter because you earned it. 😌
So we curated a box that understands timing.
Thirty days of patience. Six doughnuts of celebration.

Bring it to iftar. Bring it on Raya morning.
