tangankraf brings Malaysia’s traditional arts and crafts together in one place. In Malay, kraf tangan refers to an enterprise that requires creativity and manual skill. Our name tangankraf embodies the same spirit. Intentionally lowercase. Equally memorable. And with the words rearranged to create a unique brand identity. From the start, we’ve focused on empowering local artisans and sharing their
work with the world. These colourful, handmade pieces showcase exceptional craftsmanship and reflect our multicultural heritage. Uniquely ours, they affirm our identity as Malaysians. Through their artistry and stories, we remain committed to keeping them accessible for generations to come. In 2025, we created four sub-brands under tangankraf to better compartmentalise our ideas. These sub-brands are SERI Furniture, Pekan Pagi, by yours truly, and acro reads. Each represents a tree while tangankraf remains the forest. One could also say tangankraf has grown into an ecosystem. One that champions the small, fluid intersection between human expression and creativity, culture and heritage, and photography and literature.
