Twelve years ago, when we first opened The Daily Fix, the café wasn’t busy. We were trying all kinds of ideas just to survive, learning as we went and hoping that one day our hard work would pay off.

During that first year, Remko was one of the customers who came by almost every day. More than just enjoying our coffee, he gave us encouragement when we needed it most. Those conversations and kind words meant more than he probably knew.

After more than 10 years, it was such a joy to meet him again in New Zealand.

Moments like this remind me that coffee isn’t just about what’s in the cup. It’s about the people you meet, the friendships you build, and the connections that can last a lifetime—even across countries.

Thank you, Remko, for believing in us from the very beginning. Your support will always be a special part of The Daily Fix story.
