Originated from Xi’an, a region in China, capital city of Shaanxi province. Known for the uses of the bold flavours such as cumin and dried chilli.
The aroma has distinct musky scent of cumin but it is together with other flavours to give it more complex flavour.
A dash of dried chilli, yet the spiciness is just nice, this lamb dish still stuck out as something different, exotic. Deviating from the usual marination of ginger and soy. The layering of flavours is something else and amazingly unfolded in your mouth with every bite of the lamb.
