Join us on September 16 as we put the Josper aside for something closer to home, closer to our hearts. Enjoy a nasi lemak bungkus, teh tarik and kopi on us to celebrate Malaysia Day.

Our trusty Josper grill has been the beating heart of Lucky Bo since we opened our doors in 2015 — back when very few places in Malaysia were cooking with one. It is a strange marriage: part oven, part charcoal grill, closed up tight so the smoke has nowhere to go but into the meat. Shut its doors, and it climbs past 400ºC, wielding a raging inferno that most kitchen equipment can't contain. A steak crust is built in minutes, dark and charred at the edges, giving way to a centre that stays rosy and juicy. Everything that leaves our kitchen owes it something — that's just how we eat well, live brave, do good.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. When we opened on Jalan Bangkung 11 years ago, we couldn't have imagined what Lucky Bo would grow into. We simply wanted a place where our friends and customers could come to eat well, live brave, and do good.

Those who know us know our steaks. They know the Wagyu tomahawk. They know the Josper, and our habit of wearing our Malaysian colours on our sleeves and her flavours on our menu. They probably also know Ed, and his beloved dog: the late Lucky Bo, whom we are named after.

But if you don't, consider this an introduction. We're a Malaysian steakhouse in Bangsar. Expect Josper-grilled steaks, wine, and Malaysian favourites — char kuey teow, nasi lemak. What you won't find are QR-code menus or trendy gimmicks.

Come and get acquainted. Eat well, live brave, do good.
