Teething. A bug from taska. One of those weeks when nobody eats. When chewing’s hard, sip it warm or cook bubur with it for flavour without salt.

Start with chicken (mildest). No added salt that’s the point; adult stock is usually too salty for under-ones.

Pouches earn their place in the changing bag. At home, tip one into a bowl instead. 🥣🍼

A spout teaches sucking, which she’s been doing since day one. A spoon teaches chewing, scooping, and getting it in her hair. That last bit isn’t mess, it’s the skill.

Two easy ways in. Stir the pouch into bubur or soft oats so it’s thick enough to need a spoon. Or spread it on soft toast fingers and let her do it herself.

Once it’s open, fridge it and use within 24 hours. Spoon out what she’ll eat and leave the rest untouched in the pouch.

Tiny tummy, tiny portions. 🤍

At around 6 months, solids are still just part of the learning journey: breast milk or formula remains the main source of nutrition, while food is gradually introduced alongside it.

So if baby only manages a few spoonfuls, that can still be a complete little meal. As they grow, portions can increase naturally with their appetite, skills and routine.

You choose what and when. Baby chooses how much.
No pressure. No comparison. Just follow their cues. 🥄

No teeth at six months is completely normal, and it doesn’t hold anything back. Gums do more than you’d think, and the front teeth don’t do the chewing anyway. The molars that actually grind food don’t arrive until after the first birthday.

The test is simple: if you can squash it between your finger and thumb, their gums can manage it. If you can’t, steam it longer or save it for later.

Always off the plate for now: hard raw vegetables, whole nuts, and grapes that haven’t been quartered lengthways.

Around 6 months, solids aren’t about replacing milk. They’re about filling the nutritional gaps milk alone can no longer cover.

Start with the skill first: sitting steady, reaching, tasting, learning the spoon. Then make those small bites count with iron-rich foods like meat, fish, egg and beans. Iron becomes especially important once complementary feeding begins.

Milk still stays. Solids simply start doing a new job.

How long does baby food actually last? The question every mum has googled at 11pm.

The one that surprises people most: if baby’s spoon has been in the bowl, that portion is finished. Saliva starts breaking the food down and it can’t be saved. Always feed from a small separate bowl and keep the rest untouched.

Full fridge and freezer guide in the slides, plus thawing rules and the 2-hour room temperature rule which in our weather is really closer to 1.

These are general guidelines for food kept at 4°C or below.

I thinking either Ever wonder how a baby pouch can sit on a shelf for a year?

It’s not magic, it‘s heat. High-temperature processing makes food shelf-stable, but it also strips out the nutrients that are most fragile.

We use HPP instead: extreme pressure, no heat. Safe for baby, gentle on the goodness.

The trade-off? Ours lives in your fridge, not your pantry. We’re okay with that. 🤍

Every mum who’s flipped our pouch over and gone “eh, no preservatives ah? Then how it stays fresh?” — this one’s for you. 🧊

Short version: pressure, not heat.
Long version: swipe. 👉

Mangosteen contributes vitamin C, fibre and naturally occurring antioxidant compounds, while dates provide gentle sweetness and minerals. Barley adds fibre, B vitamins and complex carbohydrates, creating a smooth fruit-and-grain blend with a varied nutrient profile for complementary feeding.

Thoughtfully blended to support growing taste buds and little tummies.
