KL Prosperity Festival 2026: Driving Tourism Growth and Showcasing Malaysia’s Cultural Diversity

KL Prosperity Festival 2026 will take place from 13 to 15 February 2026 across multiple key locations in Kuala Lumpur city centre. As one of the city’s signature cultural events during the Lunar New Year period, the festival is set to attract both local and international visitors while highlighting Malaysia’s rich multicultural identity.
Jointly initiated by BBKLCC, KL Society and Common Market, and held in conjunction with the 4th KL Prosperity Walk, this year’s festival features expanded programming, enhanced international cultural exchange, and stronger collaboration with local communities and businesses.
Supported by Tourism Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), TRX, MRT and TS Law Land, and aligned with Visit Malaysia 2026, the festival aims to strengthen Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional cultural and tourism destination during the peak Lunar New Year travel season.
Driving Tourism During the Lunar New Year｜
Capitalising on one of the region’s most significant travel periods, KL Prosperity Festival 2026 activates city-wide tourism through interconnected cultural programmes and festive experiences. By encouraging cross-district exploration, the festival contributes to longer visitor stays, increased footfall and positive spillover effects for hospitality, retail, food and beverage, and transportation sectors.
The festival route connects major city landmarks including Low Yat Plaza, Sungai Wang Plaza, Lot 10, Fahrenheit88, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and Rain Tree Plaza at TRX.
Main Venue and Creative Market｜
The main venue at Rain Tree Plaza, TRX will host a local arts and creative market featuring over 80 Malaysian brands, showcasing food, lifestyle products and handicrafts. Blending contemporary design with Lunar New Year elements, the market offers visitors an authentic Malaysian cultural and shopping experience.
KL Prosperity Walk — 4th City Cultural Parade｜
The 4th KL Prosperity Walk will take place on 13 February 2026 at 8:00 PM, starting from Low Yat Plaza and concluding at Rain Tree Plaza, TRX.
