In the 1960s, Ong Kwee Soon came from Hainan Island to Malaysia, where he and his wife, Wong Ah Mee, founded Restaurant Nam Chun in 1974. For 50 years, this traditional coffeeshop in Bangsar Lucky Garden has been a community cornerstone. Now, their daughter Tammy continues the legacy with Nam Qun Hailam Kopitiam, launched in 2024, blending tradition with vibrancy to offer authentic Hainanese flavors and warm dining experiences.
