When I’m not leveling up in Pokémon Go, my heart and energy are completely poured into this space. We’ve recently taken down the old roofs to make way for something truly beautiful, a brand new architectural structure featuring a stunning glass roof so you can dine right under the open sky.
Even with the ongoing renovations, I love seeing so many of you still coming by every night to unwind, listen to music, and enjoy the vibe. We are stripping things down to build up a fresh, elevated experience for our Caffeinees and Yamaguchi family, and I cannot wait to share the final look with you.
Thank you for walking this beautiful journey of transformation with me. Welcome back anytime!

不玩 Pokémon Go 升级的时候，我的心思 and 精力全都投入在这个地方。最近我们拆掉了旧屋顶，是为了迎接更美好的改变,一个全新设计的建筑结构，未来还会换上精致的玻璃屋顶，让大家可以在星空下浪漫用餐。

Day 65 on the Road to Rebuild. 🛠️
It’s been 65 days of non-stop work here at Caffeinees, but seeing it come together piece by piece makes it worth it. Today felt like a milestone, we finally put some fish into the river feature, and the massive wood slab for the new bar just got delivered.
We also fired up the new grill stall for a quick test run with some fresh lobsters and oysters. There’s still a lot to do, but we’re getting there. Can’t wait to show you the final look soon!

不知不觉在 Caffeinees 的改造工程已经来到第65天了。看着它一点一点拼凑成形，真的很有成就感。今天算是一个小里程碑, 我们终于把小鱼放进了景观河里，新酒吧的实木面板也顺利送到了。
今天还顺便试了一下全新的海鲜烤架，烤了些新鲜的龙虾和生蚝。虽然还有很多细节要搞定，但我们离目标越来越近了。期待很快能让大家看到全新的面貌！

人们常说“众志成城”，在过去的 60 天里，亲眼见证 Caffeinees 重新焕发生机，是我人生中最有成就感的经历之一。
我们将曾经的沟渠重新改造回了心中那条宁静的小河。每当看到流水潺潺，我都会想起自火灾以来我们走过的每一步。Auntie Vicky 和 Chris 甚至为我们的新吧台找到了一块非常漂亮的大木板，它将成为我们店里的新核心。
这条重建之路不仅仅是为了修复一座建筑，更是为了重新凝聚我们的社区。我真的很期待能在这里见到大家。

They say it takes a village, and seeing Caffeinees come back to life over these last 60 days has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
We took the “Long Kang” and turned it back into the peaceful little river we always imagined. Every time I see the water flowing, I’m reminded of how far we’ve come since the fire. Auntie Vicky and Chris even found the most incredible wooden slab for our new bar, it is going to be the heart of our space.
This road to rebuild isn’t just about fixing a building; it’s about bringing our community back together. I really can’t wait to see you.

老实讲，看到这条“河”的时候，我是又好气又好笑。
我们原本要的是一个自然流动的水景，结果承包商一出手，直接帮我们做成了“高级版长沟”（longkang）。

是的，你没有听错。
我们辛辛苦苦设计的水流，被改成了一条很努力在装河的longkang。

所以现在，我们又在重做。对，又一次。
有时候做生意就是这样，你以为已经差不多了，结果还要再来一轮。

但没关系，我们还是会把它做好。
因为Caffeinees从来不是“差不多就好”的地方。

下次你看到它，希望你看到的是真正的“河”，而不是…你知道的。

To be honest, watching this “stream” right now… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

We designed a natural flowing water feature.
The contractor somehow turned it into a very enthusiastic longkang.

Yes, a longkang.

So now we are fixing it. Again.
Because apparently one round was not enough.

This is the reality of rebuilding. You think you are almost there, then boom, back to square one.

But we will get it right.
Caffeinees was never built on “good enough”.

Next time you see this, it will look like a proper stream… not a dressed-up drain.

My mom asked me to help introduce her restaurant, so here’s what I did.

一路走来，我们一点一点把 Caffeinees Upstairs 重新拼回来。❤️

前几天我们特地去了文冬挑选大石头，现在这些石头已经慢慢变成了楼上小河的一部分。看着水流、石头、木元素慢慢融合在一起，我真的觉得这个地方越来越有生命了。

我们的树屋也已经重新整理好了，现在看起来更温暖、更漂亮了。那种熟悉的人情味，终于又慢慢回来了。

虽然我们还在继续美化一些细节，但 Caffeinees Upstairs 已经正式开放营业啦。欢迎大家回来坐坐，听歌，吃饭，看看这个我们一起慢慢重建回来的空间。

有时候，一场风雨之后，反而会长出更有故事的风景。

Piece by piece, we are slowly bringing Caffeinees Upstairs back to life. ❤️

A few days ago, we went all the way to Bentong to handpick the rocks for the new river feature upstairs, and now the river is finally coming together beautifully. Watching the stones, water, and wood elements blend into the space makes it feel alive again.

We’ve also restored our tree house, and it now feels warmer, cozier, and more beautiful than ever. The soul of the place is slowly returning.

While we are still adding finishing touches here and there, Caffeinees Upstairs is already open for operations. Come back for the food, the music, the atmosphere, and to experience this space that we rebuilt together with so much heart.

Sometimes after the storm, the place grows back with even more stories to tell.
