We had some wonderful moments with friends during our soft launch on Wednesday, and we’d love to extend the experience for you.

We’re opening the doors to Submerge this weekend 20th & 21st Dec, 6pm to 10pm. For these two evenings, we’ll be extending our simple soft launch menu to welcome peers who are curious to experience the space.

Submerge is a modern espresso bar where we dive deeper into the same coffee, exploring different expressions and possibilities through each drink. It’s a space for curiosity, & conversation, and a space for no judgement.

If this is your first visit, Submerge is located just beneath Afloat Bukit Jalil. Please note that a few drinks on the menu do contain alcohol. Our team will definitely explain to you prior of ordering.

Our finalized operating hours will be updated soon. For now, please stay tuned to our Instagram for updates.

_NEW ROASTERY SPACE

After almost a year of planning and drafting, this space has finally come to life. We have always believed that good things take time. Tomorrow (17/12), we will be hosting a soft launch with invited guests, where we reveal the new face of our humbled roastery, and introduce Submerge - modern espresso bar.

To mark this small milestone, and if you happen to be reading this, we would like to extend a 10% discount on retail coffee beans and merchandise. Our Afloat cafe on the second floor will continue to operate as usual. The discount is applicable for walk-in purchases only.

_ BAR TAKE OVER BY LA JOYA

Last Monday, we hosted Sam and Gloria from , Mexico for a bar takeover at our space. They brought along coffees from Project Zephyr, a collaborative initiative currently working closely with Glyph. Throughout the session, they introduced a variety of distinctive varietals and processing methods, giving our community an opportunity to explore flavours that were expressive and thoughtfully crafted.

One of our favourites of the evening was the first-year harvest Geisha processed using the Natural Jade method. It offered a remarkably delicate cup, with notes of sweet orange, orange blossom, and a soft hint of vanilla.

We are sincerely grateful for the wonderful turnout, and we would like to thank Courtney and Ben from for bringing Sam and Gloria to our space. Not to forget, they also happily enjoyed the durian night we shared together.

Moments like these remind us that coffee truly has a way of bringing everyone closer.

Last Friday’s Recap.

After returning from World Barista Championship 2025, we finally able to welcome Jason Loo to share his coffee with us at our space.

We started with the champions’ coffee talk where Jacky, Penny & Jason shared their insights & perspective along the journey. These narratives serve as more than just inspiration; they remind us that we are keeping our faith despite the obstacles we face on our journey.

Then, guests were filled up all the 4 sessions, and had an interactive conversation over the 3 courses - Panama Finca Nuguo espresso, a blend of Myliberica and Nuguo for milk beverage & lastly, the signature beverage.

Thank you, Jason, for trusting us to be part of his journey as the roaster. We’re grateful for the opportunity, and we will continue pushing ourselves to improve.

After years of dedication and an unwavering pursuit of excellence, Jason — 4-time Malaysia Barista Champion and World Barista Championship 2025 3rd Runner-Up — will be behind our bar for one special afternoon.

He’ll be serving espresso through an intimate, interactive experience inspired by his WBC journey.

This is a rare chance to taste Finca Nuguo espresso expressed at a championship level, along with his signature beverage built around the balance between introvert and extrovert expressions — a concept that shaped his stage presence and performance this year.
