哈咯 冠儀 ！🇹🇼

去年七月，來自台灣的冠儀初次到訪 White Land，剛巧遇上 Esther 的攝影展，彼此一見如故。十一月，我們把攝影展帶到台北，冠儀也在百忙之中抽空與我們見面。

這個星期，冠儀剛好逗留在馬來西亞幾天。身為台灣資深外語導遊的她，希望讓馬來西亞的朋友，從更多不同的面向去了解台灣，因此決定在 White Land 舉辦兩場旅遊講座，其中包括一場國際場 將以日語和英語進行 （ 貼心考慮到 White Land 客群包含許多日本與歐洲的朋友 😍🫶 ）

本次講座分為兩個主題：

17/4 (五） 8pm - 9pm （華語）
「一日穿越千年之間：從帝國典藏到原民文化的身世之旅」

19/4 (日） 11am - 12pm （日語+英語）
「從街頭到餐桌：台灣飲食的深度多樣性」

期盼透過這兩個主題，帶大家從「飲食」與「文化」兩個面向出發，重新認識台灣——不只是景點與美食，而是它背後所承載的歷史脈絡與文化意涵。

when hearts are open

A Turkish girl, a Korean couple, and we were talking in Mandarin !

Started as strangers
from three different parts of the world
Then we spoke, laughed, shared in the same language.
Moments like this make me believe —
borders are on maps, not in people.

Once we get past the “stranger” phase,
we see the big, warm & super genuine smile from them 😀

Met the loveliest group of Romanian friends for the last two days in a row, united by specialty coffee and curiosity about the world.

We talked about home, culture, and everyday life, and somewhere in between cups, strangers became friends.

Bogdan said something that stayed with us:
“How nice it is that we get to meet different people from different places every day in cafe.”
Yeah, moments like this are the reason we do what we do.

Really grateful for the people we cross paths with along the way 🤍

Hi Ivelyn 👋
A truly beautiful soul from Singapore.

If you were here last Saturday,
you would have met Ivelyn in person.
She flew all the way from Singapore
just to be our one-day barista 🤍

We first met Ivelyn at White Land in October last year when she travelled to KL with friends. Then she came to White Land again in November, some connections just continue so naturally.

Ivelyn is the kind of person who genuinely loves coffee
and, even more, connecting with people.

Last Saturday, she met not only our regulars, also some guests from Singapore and Jakarta,
and we’re pretty sure everyone left
with a warm cup and an even warmer conversation !

It’s an incredible experience !
Thank you Ivelyn 🫶
