🔹 What We Built, What We Lost — and Why We’re Still Here 🔹
What began as a passion project — packing fresh seafood by hand and fulfilling orders from a humble home desk during lockdown — soon turned into something bigger than we ever imagined.

As the world reopened post-pandemic, we noticed a shift.

Online sales slowed. Not because people stopped loving seafood — but because they craved experiences again.

And that’s when the spark hit:

“What if Seafood Maestro could live beyond the screen?
What if people could taste the story we’ve been telling?”

So, in January 2022, we took our first bold leap — and opened Sushi Mastro, our very first physical restaurant.

It was everything we hoped for — and more.

In just six months, we went viral.
Our bold sushi presentation, weekly seafood flown in fresh, and pricing that made quality accessible? It worked.

Weekends? Fully booked.
From June through December, we operated at full-house capacity every single week.

Riding on that momentum, we opened a second outlet in September 2023.
A bigger, more refined space — built with even more care, heart, and ambition.

But then — the unexpected happened.

Japan announced the release of treated nuclear wastewater into the ocean.
Panic rippled through the industry.

Even though our sourcing remained safe and transparent, confidence in seafood dropped overnight.
And so did sales.

We pivoted. We adjusted. We pushed through.

But the losses kept stacking.

And with heavy hearts, we made one of the hardest decisions yet:

We closed the doors on both Sushi Mastro outlets.

Not because we stopped believing — but because continuing would’ve meant risking it all.

It was painful.
But it was powerful, too.

We learned. We grew.
We faced reality with courage.
And most importantly, we remembered why we started.

Seafood Maestro lives on — not just as a brand, but as a symbol of grit, vision, and heart.

We're still here, serving fresh seafood to families across Malaysia — online, direct to your doorstep.

And who knows?

One day, we just might build again.

Because the dream isn’t over.

It’s just evolving.

We have updated our business hours to better serve you. Starting this week, we will be open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Lunch hours are from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM, with the last order at 2:30 PM. For dinner, we will be open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the last order at 9:30 PM.

Please note that we will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to serving you during our new hours.
