For you who’ve been us for a while, you probably already notice that we had no choice but to cut down all the big trees after their roots started spreading out of control.

We got pretty attached to the things that have grown alongside Bichii, becoming part of our space from the very beginning. Letting them go did break our hearts a little.

Things grow & change, in facts, nothing stays the same.

Sometimes, change just gives us a chance to start over, do things a little differently, & grow in a new direction.

So, here we are, starting again. A few new plants, a few new pots, and some new green finding its way back into our space.

But one thing’s for sure, it’s not Bichii without some plants!

We took two of our favourite things - banana & coffee, & made them into something we love even more.

A バノフィーパイ!

It’s somewhat a rare dessert.
As the bananas have to hit that perfect stage of ripeness, we can only make a very limited amount each week.

Think of it like a legendary pokemon encounter, if you happened to spot one at our counter, don’t let it get away.

May is a season for the simplest joys.

For us, it’s finally being able to include the specialty beans from , that we fell in love with in Tokyo, into our seasonal lineup.

Yet to experience May in Japan, but maybe this is how late spring feels. A filter lineup of soft sunlight, quiet warmth, & cherry blossom notes. Think satsuma orange, soft pink floral, and some gentle sweetness & smooth body. cheers

東京、粒子感のある一日。


This is a series we captured across & its surrounding cities, only this time, we experienced it differently.

We travelled with a 1981 Canon Ae-1P film camera, a couple rolls of film, & no certainty of what we would get in return.

Moving along with the city, we found ourselves walking alongside strangers, noticing shifting light, fleeting gestures, & the small, ordinary moments that often go unseen.

Shooting on film slowed us down. It asked for patience, intention, & trust in the process. In return, it made us more observant, more present with each moment we chose to keep.

This is the in Tokyo. The raw, unpolished images of the city.

ビチー丼：生姜焼きシリーズ
Bichiidon / Shogayaki Series

After our trip to Kichijoji, we could’t stop thinking about this comforting donburi we had, savoury, slightly sweet & full of fragrance. That’s when we decided to create our own version of Shogayaki series, inspired by that memory.

Our homemade ginger miso sauce goes so well with almost everything, but in the end we settled on two options: pan-seared salmon & fried chicken. Topped with our freshly made crispy ginger strips, that’s really where the soul of the dish comes together!

Served during bichiidon hours.

In the past, drip bags made specialty coffee at home more convenient, but brewing them still requires extra tools & controlling water flow takes technique (since it is a pour-over style), which can easily lead to inconsistent cup.

This is one of the many few reasons that we prefer brew bag over drip bag.
