The Pharm started it's journey with urban gardening and sustainable living with a focus on getting back to nature. In 2015, we began a path to a better understanding of how we live, work, and consume the world around us. It started with a few Moringa seeds, a pot of Pegaga (Gotu Kola) and a handful of Kefir grains that forced us out of our desk chairs and into a purpose driven path with communitie

s of farmers, herbalists, and home fermenters. Since then, we've included 3 community driven edible gardens, and a growing Kefir business that opened its doors in the heart of Georgetown's arts hub in June of 2017. We believe that it's possible for everyone to grow their own food, and embrace a life lived healthier, better, and more engaged with the natural world around us. The Pharm is a way for us to continue our journey to learn and share what we've picked up along the way from a distinctly urban viewpoint. We organise workshops, farm volunteer sessions, seed swaps, and sell yummy Kefir Sodas at weekend markets and The Pharm Hut inside the Hin Bus Depot. Since February 2020 we started a second shop at 10, G*t Lebuh Acheh, 10300 Georgetown. We only managed to open our shop on 2nd June after the Covid19 lockdown. Since the new normal we have decided close our outlet at Hin Bus Depot from June 2020. We hope you will check us out in our new home and see our new Takeout & Delivery menu options and enjoy the Kefir Sodas too.

After 3 years at this beautiful location on G*t Lebuh Acheh, we have made the decision to move back to a home-based business model.

In order to keep our prices affordable while maintaining our commitment to quality, we’ve had to make some changes to mitigate the rising costs of goods and overheads.

From now on, we will continue to supply our probiotic kefirs and healthy homemade goods directly to your doorstep, and expect to find them in more cafes and stores around Penang.

COMING SOON: Subscription Programs for even fresher and more affordable Kefirs on a regular basis. Keep following us here on social media to see our latest offers.

Hello friends 👋🏻
Though Penang has enabled Phase 2 SOP's for cafes and restaurants, we've decided not to open up for dine-in just yet.

As a tiny team that also includes our 84 year old Amah, we need to take all the precautions we can as cases continue to climb.

This week has already seen a covid death in the extended family - so we urge everyone to stay home and be safe, while we also continue to do the same.

Fingers crossed that we'll all be fully vaccinated soon. Mum (Patie) just got her second dose!

Deliveries and pick-ups are as usual, and we do have some ongoing an upcoming promotions, so keep watch.

All orders over 30.00 are eligible for a 10% delivery rebate. For most of the island, that's free for orders 70.00 and up.

Do take note of the pre-order times required for fresh bakes. Pickups are still available at the store, of course. Just DM us to arrange.
