The first member of Design Hotels in Malaysia, Macalister Mansion is a contemporary BOUTIQUE HOTEL set to elevate your lifestyle with its distinctive restaurants and bar as well as a wedding venue. The modern-meets-deco interior of a 100-year-old heritage building, Macalister Mansion now featuring a colourful marble finish for its eight revitalized rooms. Named after Colonel Norman Macalister, who governed the area 200 years ago, you’ll find artwork that winks at Penang’s colonial past plus contemporary sculptures depicting the hotel’s namesake. The hotel’s design conceived a single holistic vision for its dining, pool and bar areas working together synergistically. Outside, a poolside garden with a sitting area invites relaxation and sets the stage for small events and memorable gatherings. After dark, you might dine at Restaurant Blanc helmed by local talent Benny Yeoh or unwind with a whiskey or wine in The Cellar. This exquisitely restored boutique hotel has the makings of a truly memorable stay –resplendent rooms, fabulous facilities as well as a phenomenal range of food and drinks.
