Who would have ever imagined that the ex-prime minister of Thailand would come into our kitchen and chat with Chef Pennapra Yathai after his meal?

His Excellency Khun Abhisit Vejjajiva is really such a down-to-earth and super nice person 🥹 it was our absolute honor to be able to cook for him and we are so grateful that he flew in from Bangkok specially for our 3rd Anniversary 🙏🏼 we will continue to work even harder and keep pushing the boundaries and possibilities of fine Thai cuisine 🇹🇭

Three years into the business, Chef Pennapra Yathai still selects as much of the ingredients as she can for her restaurant by hand 👐🏼

This is to ensure that our guests only get the very best of what Penang has to offer 🫶🏼

She doesn’t even go to the markets that are closest to our restaurant because she feels that the quality of the produce is different 😌

We are so incredibly grateful that His Excellency Khun Abhisit Vejjajiva, the 27th Prime Minister of Thailand, flew in from Bangkok to be the guest of honor at our 3rd Anniversary Celebration 🙏🏼

It was an unforgettable experience for us and an absolute honor for Chef Pennapra Yathai to be able to share her version of Thai cuisine with Khun Abhisit 🙌🏼

Ultra grateful to announce that our official hotel partner for our 3rd Anniversary Celebration is Campbell House Penang 🙌🏼

Campbell House is a fantastic 12 room boutique hotel that is located in a beautifully restored 1903 heritage shophouse 🏠

They have a wonderful Michelin Selected restaurant - Il Bacaro on the ground floor (where we always go to get our Italian fix) 🇮🇹

Khob kun ka to everyone who made our first wine pairing dinner in KL such a success 🙏🏼

It was not an easy feat, as we had to bring EVERYTHING with us - including knives, butane torches and digital scales, but in the end all the work that Chef Pennapra Yathai put in was worth it 💪🏼

We honestly did not expect such a great response and we are truly grateful to all of you for your incredible support 🫰🏼

We would like to thank our event partners ExpatGo and Spanish Cellar KL for their valuable contributions to the event 🫶🏼

And most of all we would like to sincerely thank the owners of the venue for so graciously allowing us to use their beautiful space for the evening 🙏🏼

We did our best to bring the Pennapra experience to KL and we can safely assure you that we will be back soon 😉

ONE YEAR AGO on July 3 2025 we were extremely honored to win Thai Select 2-Stars and on July 3 2026 we were in KL to host a private wine pairing dinner at this STUNNING private venue in the heart of Malaysia’s capital city 🇲🇾

We were very lucky to be given the chance to use this space for one night and we are so grateful to the owners for allowing us this opportunity 🙏🏼

In 2023 when we opened the restaurant we never imagined what a crazy journey we would embark on 🤷🏻‍♂️ we have met so many amazing people and forged some incredible relationships and partnerships in the past 3 years 💪🏼

Thank you to everyone who has a part of this journey and all we can say is that THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING 😉
