In a home restaurant occasion, you can taste a variety of Hungarian dishes and drinks, with their introduction. Prepare yourself to be very hung(a)ry! Haha - this is an old joke...
This is the menu and program of the dinner:
1.) Goulasch soup (signature dish).
The most traditional Hungarian food! A rustic, very rich soup made from beef and vegetables, seasoned with special paprika powder.
2.) Meat crepes as in Hortobagy
Also known as a pancake filled with paprika chicken. The stuffing: savory chicken breast in cubes, sauteed with onions, tomatoes, paprika, and sour cream to form a stew. The meat stuffed into crepes and folded up, drizzled with paprika-sour cream sauce.
3.) Meatloaf with Russian salad
Meatloaf made from minced chicken leg, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, seasoned with black pepper, and paprika powder, stuffed with hard-boiled eggs, and baked in the oven. Moist and super tasty. Served with Russian salad (green peas, corn, diced carrot, potato, pickled cucumber,and apple, in a creamy mayonnaise dressing).
4.) Apple pie
Old-fashioned apple pie, based on the chef’s godmother’s recipe).
5.) Drink:
a.) Raspberry lemonade (non-alcoholic)
Homemade raspberry puree, lemon, brown sugar, water.
b.) Hungarian spritzer (white wine with sparkling water)
Fröccs (Spritzer) is one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in Hungary. It is wine (mostly white wine) mixed with soda water, – most importantly, not with mineral water as is often the case nowadays and elsewhere in Europe, but with good old-fashioned soda water.

Price of the dinner: RM2.500
It includes:
- Food menu (above) for 8-10 pax,
- 3 bottles of raspberry lemonade,
- Hungarian spritzer (from 3 bottles of white wine),
- A bottle of red wine,
- 10 bottles of mineral water,
- Presentation of each dish and drink,
- Greeting Hungarian postcard,
- Quiz about Hungary and the dishes (based on the presentation), the winner receives a Hungarian bar of chocolate.
