Due to the Norra Mexican 1000 Race 2026, residents and visitors are advised that several streets in downtown San José del Cabo will be temporarily restricted starting at 10:00 AM today, May 7.

Affected roads include:

1. Calle Camino Viejo a San José
2. Av. Centenario and Calle Benito Juárez (La Playa Bridge)
3. Calle Copa México 70
..and other nearby streets.

Additionally, Av. Centenario will operate as a one-way street only. We encourage everyone in the Los Cabos area to take precautions, plan for extra travel time, use alternate routes, and drive with patience and responsibility.

🏁 The Dos Mares 500 Off-Road Race is LIVE! 🌵🏎️
Baja’s desert is coming alive today! One of the most exciting off-road races in Mexico, the Dos Mares 500, officially kicked off today, May 2nd, right here in Los Cabos.

Quick Facts for Visitors:
What is it? A high-speed endurance race where custom-built trucks and bikes race through 500 kilometers of rugged terrain, crossing the peninsula from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Coast.

The Start: The action begins at noon in the San José del Cabo Hotel Zone. Bikes led the way, with the heavy-hitting trucks and buggies starting their engines at 4:00 PM.

Where to watch: While the start is in the hotel zone, the race hits remote spots like Los Barriles and Pescadero before finishing back in San José.

⚠️ Spectator Safety:

Stay Back: Never stand on the outside of a curve. These vehicles move fast and kick up dust and rocks.

Traffic: Expect some road delays and extra movement around the hotel zone.

Leave No Trace: Help us keep Baja beautiful by taking your trash with you.
