A little low-season break. 🌴

Starting today, El Patio is taking a short break while the island slows down for the season.

We’ll use the time to recharge, get a few things ready, and come back refreshed for another season of food, drinks, live music and evenings under the trees. 🎶🍹

El Patio will be closed September 23 through October 1.

🌴 We reopen Friday, October 2.

Thank you to everyone who has spent part of their summer with us. We’ll see you very soon. ❤️

If you’ve walked into El Patio, you’ve probably met this guy.

He’s been greeting people from the wall just inside the entrance for a very long time, at least 10 years that we know of.

We don’t know who originally created him, and that’s part of what makes him interesting. He’s simply become part of El Patio, one of those little details you may walk past a hundred times until one day you stop and really look.

Does anyone know the story behind this artwork or who created it? We’d love to know.

Last night, Isla Mujeres celebrated in a big way.

From the rooftops and the streets of downtown, fireworks lit up the night… and afterward, all roads led to the Town Square.

Families, friends, music, dancing, colors, smiles, and an entire island coming together to celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day and El Grito.

These photos aren’t just about one night of celebration. They’re little moments from our island — the people, the joy, the tradition, and that special energy that makes Isla Mujeres such an extraordinary place.

Anoche Isla Mujeres celebró a lo grande.

Desde las terrazas y las calles del centro, los fuegos artificiales iluminaron la noche… y después, todos los caminos llevaron a la Plaza.

Familias, amigos, música, baile, colores, sonrisas y una isla entera reunida para celebrar El Grito de Independencia.
