Good Tuesday morning!

It was a fun and tasty event that I catered last night. I don't cater often hence I have no photos of all the food that I made. I'm just so pleased by the guests enjoying the food that it doesn't even occur to me to take photos. Last night's theme was Korean.

Back to my day job here. 😁.

We have our dim sum specials today. Shrimp dumplings, shrimp and pork dumplings, steam pork buns and fried shrimp balls are available today.

Good Monday morning!

I must be looking forward to the weekend. My brain wanted to say Good Friday morning! 😁🤣. It's been a busy weekend for me and today as well. I'll be catering a small private Korean themed dinner tonight after our regular service hours. Cooking in a different kitchen is always a challenge but it can also be so much fun for me as well as the guests.

Today's special is Pho Ga, Vietnamese chicken noodle soup. It's always been gluten free since Pho is a rice noodle. Often people think pho is the name of the soup but it's actually the name of the noodle.

Butter tarts are our dessert.

Good Thursday morning!

It's shrimp and pork wonton noodle soup today. My favorite soup of the week. It's comfort food and reminds me of time spent with my family as a young girl.

For dessert we have pumpkin pie, apple blueberry tarts and chocolate mochi muffins.

Good Wednesday morning!

Here we are at another tianguis day. I strolled through around 9:30 this a.m. and it was pretty quiet for the tianguis. It's not just here, Lakeside, it's also happening in Guadalajara. I'm often asked, why is it so quiet? I have my thoughts on this but I'm curious to hear what you think is causing the lack of people?

Today's specials are Pho Ga and Korean Gochujian chicken.
