Diwali is a Hindu festival which symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance"
This year I spent a week preparing for this day, baking and making yummy sweetmeats that we usually share with friends and family.
I missed my family that much more this Diwali as I made all their favourites and was unable to share it with them.
