"දුරකථන කණු වගේ ලී කොට කර තියාගෙන, අත් පා ගැටගසා වතුරේ ගිල්වද්දී නොමැරුණු ඔහු... අවසානයේ නිහඬව පරාජය වූ හැටි" 💔🇱🇰

ඇමරිකානු Navy SEAL කඳවුරේ මැද්දේ ලොකු පිත්තල සීනුවක් (Brass Bell) තියෙනවා. හුස්ම හිරවෙන, ඇඟේ පණ නැතිවෙන ඒ පුහුණුව දරාගන්නම බැරි තැන, ඕනෑම වෙලාවක ඒ සීනුව තුන් පාරක් ගහලා, තමන්ගේ හෙල්මට් එක එතන තියලා ගෙදර යන්න පුළුවන්. පුහුණුවට එන දහස් ගණන් කොල්ලන්ගෙන් 90%ක්ම කරන්නේ ඒ දේ. අන්තිමට ඉතුරු වෙන්නේ යකඩ වගේ හිතක් තියෙන කීපදෙනෙක් විතරයි.

ලුතිනන් කෝයන් චාමිත කියන්නේ ඒ සීනුව නොගසා, ඒ මරණීය අභියෝගය ජයගෙන අපේ රටේ කොඩිය එතන හිටවපු පළමු සහ එකම ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයා. ඔහු ලංකාවට ගෙනාපු ඒ රත්තරන් "Trident" පදක්කම පිටුපස තියෙන කතාව ඇහුවම ඇඟ හිරිවැටෙනවා. ඒක නිකන්ම පුහුණුවක් නෙවෙයි, මාස 14ක් තිස්සේ අපායක ගෙවපු ජීවිතයක්.

ගම්පහ බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලයෙන් අධ්‍යාපනය ලබපු මේ දක්ෂ කොල්ලා 2017 අවුරුද්දේ 60 වැනි නිලධාරී බඳවාගැනීම හරහා නාවික හමුදාවට එකතු වෙන්නේ තමන්ගේ රට වෙනුවෙන් ලොකු මෙහෙවරක් කරන්න හිතාගෙන. ත්‍රිකුණාමලයේ මූලික පුහුණුවෙන් පස්සේ ඔහු තෝරාගත්තේ ලංකාවේ නාවික හමුදාවේ තියෙන දරුණුම බලකාය වන "විශේෂ යාත්‍රා බලඝණය" (SBS). එතැනදී පෙන්වපු දක්ෂතාවය නිසාම 2025 ජනවාරි මාසයේදී ඔහුට ඇමරිකානු Navy SEAL පුහුණුවට යන්න වරම් ලැබෙනවා.

මේ පුහුණුවට පටන් ගනිද්දී ලෝකය පුරාම ඉන්න දක්ෂතම සෙබළුන් 200ක් විතර හිටියත්, අවසානයේ ඒ ගෞරවනීය "Trident" පදක්කම පපුවට ගහගන්න වාසනාව ලැබුණේ කෝයන් ඇතුළු 27 දෙනෙකුට විතරයි. ඒ 27 දෙනා අතරට එන්න ඔහු පහුකරපු "අපායන්" ගැන ඇහුවම ඇඟ හිරිවැටෙනවා.

මේ ගමන පටන් ගන්නේ San Diego වල සති 5ක පෙර පුහුණුවකින් (NSW Prep). එතනදී විනාඩි 2න් Push-ups 70ක් ගහන්න බැරි වුණොත්, විනාඩි 31න් හැතැක්ම 4ක් දුවන්න බැරි වුණොත් ගෙදර යන්න වෙනවා. එතනින් බේරුණොත් ඊළඟට වැටෙන්නේ Indoc කියන "Weed-out" (දුර්වලයන් අයින් කරන) කාල සීමාවට. මේ ඔක්කොම පහු කරලා තමයි අර නියම SEAL පුහුණුව පටන් ගන්නේ.

එතනදි ඔවුන්ට සිද්ද වෙනවා රළ ගෙඩි මැද්දෙන් බර බෝට්ටු (IBS Crews) කර තියාගෙන දුවන්න. ඒ වගේම "Old Misery" කියලා හඳුන්වන දුරකථන කණුවක් වගේ බර, යෝධ ලී කොටයක් කණ්ඩායමම එකතු වෙලා පැය ගණන් උස්සගෙන ඉන්න ඕනේ. තමන්ගේ උරහිස් තැලිලා යද්දිත්, එහා පැත්තේ ඉන්න සහෝදරයා වෙනුවෙන් ඒ වේදනාව දරාගන්න එතනදී ඔවුන් පුරුදු වෙනවා.

මේ පුහුණුවේ භයානකම කොටසක් තමයි "Drown-proofing" කියන්නේ. අත් දෙක සහ කකුල් දෙකම ගැටගහලා ගැඹුරු පූල් එකට දැම්මාම, පාවෙලා ඉන්න විතරක් නෙවෙයි, පතුලේ තියෙන දේවල් කටින් හපාගෙන (Retrieve with teeth) ආපහු උඩට එන්න ඕනේ. වතුර පෙවී, හුස්ම හිරවෙද්දී පොඩ්ඩක් හරි බය වුණොත් ගෙදර යන්න වෙනවා. ඒ මදිවට දිය යට ඉඳන් ඔක්සිජන් පාලනය කරන ගමන් අමාරු Physics ගණන් හදන්න ඕනේ. මේක නිකන්ම ඇඟේ හයිය විතරක් නෙවෙයි, මරණය ඉස්සරහදි සිහිය පිහිටුවා ගන්න පුළුවන්ද කියලා බලන පරීක්ෂණයක්.

මේ ඔක්කොම ඉවර වුණාම ඔහුට යන්න වුණේ ගොඩබිමෙන් ඈත San Clemente දූපතට. එතනදී වටේම පිපිරෙන්නේ රබර් උණ්ඩ නෙවෙයි, සැබෑ ජීව උණ්ඩ (Live Fire). සතියේ දවස් 7ම, දවසට පැය 24ම යුද්ධය එක්ක තමයි ජීවත් වෙන්න ඕනේ. අන්තිමට SQT පුහුණුව වෙනුවෙන් ඇලස්කාවේ හිම කඳු (Kodiak) අතරට ගිහින්, දරාගන්න බැරි සීතලෙත් ඔහු පුහුණු වුණා.

විශේෂයෙන්ම විදේශිකයෙක් විදිහට එතනට ගියාම පීඩනය දෙගුණයි. ඇමරිකානුවන්ටවත් බැරි තැනක, ලංකාවේ නම ඔසවා තැබුවේ කෝයන්ගේ ඒ යකඩ හිත විතරමයි.

නමුත් ජීවිතය කියන්නේ මහා පුදුම දෙයක්. ගැඹුරු මුහුද, ඝන කැලෑව, ඇලස්කාවේ හිම කඳු සහ සැබෑ උණ්ඩ පරාජය කරපු ඒ විරුවා, අද උදෑසන තමන්ගේම රටේදී, තමන්ගේම ඇඳ මතදී ඉතාම නිහඬව ජීවිතය හැර ගිහින්. මරණයට හේතුව තවම නිල වශයෙන් තහවුරු කරලා නැති අතර, හදිසි සෞඛ්‍ය ගැටලුවක් බවට සැක කරනවා.

වයස අවුරුදු 28යි. රටකට ආඩම්බර වෙන්න පුළුවන්, ආයේ ලේසියෙන් බිහි නොවෙන ජාතියේ සම්පතක් අද අපි අතර නෑ.

LTTE සූප්පු බෝම්බ

LTTE කොටි ත්‍රස්ථවාදීන් සිය මිලේච්චත්වය ඔප්පු කල තවත් අවස්ථාවක් . වන්නි මෙහෙයුමේ නිරත 57 වන සේනාංකයට අයත් 7 වන පාබල හමුදාවට අයත් රණවිරුවන් විසින් විශ්වමඩු ප්‍රදේශයේදී සොයා ගන්නා ලද LTTE ත්‍රස්ථවාදීන් විසින් නිපදවූ මෙම සූප්පු බෝම්බ කුඩා ලදරුවන්ගේ කිරි බෝතල් වලට සවි කර තිබූ අතර එහි සූප්පුව ප්‍රෙෂ් කර සැනින් ( සූප්පුව මිරිකූ විගසම ) පුපුරා යන ලෙස නිපදවා තිබිණ.
