Why isn’t there a rule book for restaurant world?
Even after 10 years, we’re still trying to keep up 😵
Owning a business can feel like the best thing and the hardest thing you’ve ever done.
Some nights you’re up late wondering why you ever started…
and some days a simple rush of customers makes you think, “this is exactly where I’m meant to be.”
No one tells you that you’ll work more hours than you can count… and still call it love.
That social media will change just when you finally understand it.
That markets are exciting… and mildly terrifying when you’ve spent so much, hoping people will feel what you put into it.
That your phone will slowly turn into 90% food photos, ideas, and “we should try this” moments.
That even in a busy restaurant, you can sometimes feel incredibly alone.
But then… a customer walks in who feels like family.
And suddenly, it all makes sense again.
Days off? There’s no such thing as fully off. Just “I’ll quickly pop in for 10 minutes.”
You’ll question decisions you worked so hard to make… and somehow still show up the next day with new strength.
You become a problem solver before 9am.
You meet people from all over the world in your little space called Miss Daisy.
You learn that trends move fast… but relationships last longer.
Your heart is always more invested than your spreadsheets.
