Seabell was first opened as a small shop some 22 years back,where we had just move to Poste la Fayette with our small family my dad, mom ,my two elder sisters and me.My dad is the founder of the Seabell restaurant as he used to fly to South Africa more precisely to Durban La Mercy beach where he used to eat at Seabelle restaurant and fell in love with his foods and he always had in mind if one day
he open a restaurant he will name it Seabell,because that remind him of good memories of South Africa. After the opening of the shop people from around was curious and asking if we are doing take out aswel as there was nothing around at that time so we decided why not try some take out.My mom food was so delicious that the news were spread like fire in the surounding.This was the start of Seabell restaurant.As we didnt had any experience in restaurant business my sister went to hotel school to do a course on guest relation and me on food in the kitchen.After completing school we both were working in hotels and at our restaurant aswel so as to improve the standard of the restaurant.Even though my mother was very good at cooking she was learning new thing from me as i was working in 5 stars hotels.I have been working started from Touessrok ,St Geran ,Royal Palms and Belle Mare Plage hotel.Then after 5 years i got the chance to go to work in Ireland where i have been working in different type of restaurant where i have learn the irish ,french,italian,thai mediteranien and indian cuisinne.After that i went to work on celebrity cruise where i had a very unique experience which brought all my experience to another level.The challenge was hard but worth it.
15 years of working around the world. Now what? Boom back to the real life SEABELL RESTAURANT the renovation after 15 years and a new seabell with all this experience.Now me and my mom we have worked on different old menu that we had and a few new menu.My dad the one and only he is our pride and we are so proud of him.Whenever a guest comeand if had chance to talk to him he will make you feel at home,talk about his past which is very rich.My sisters are always here with new concepts and thats help a lot. Now the food that are serve at Seabell are a very unique with new and old ideas with a twist of fusion around the world.The ingredients are fresh and all food are made a la minutes. The local people love our place for the freshness of the food.They come from all around Mauritius as it's a very small island so it's not very far from north to south and east to west.We are situated in the noth east of Mauritius where there are a few hotels like Azuri ,Radisson blue,La maison D'ete,Jalsa beach and Prince Maurice hotel which is at a distance of 5 to 10 minutes drive.We have aswel the Bras D'eau national park which is a very nice place for hiking and at the end point of the trail is not far from Seabell restaurant.The beautiful and quiet beach of Poste La Fayette have such a very nice scenery of mountain view the sea and even when the sun rise and set it's very nice.And on the other side you can sea a far view of Prince Maurice hotel.
