My son Stefano and I moved from Torino, in the North West of Italy, to Gozo after coming here on holiday several times. The reason behind this reflected the fact that we fell in love with the people, the way of life, the sea and its bottom (both of us enjoy diving) that this island was offering us. Here we noticed that Italian cooking is well known and courses reproduced are mainly belonging to th

e South of Italy. We've hardly had the pleasure to taste some of the recipes from the North, with the exception of the pesto, deservedly loved by both tourists and locals. In order to supply to this absence, we would like to introduce some of the traditional courses from the North of Italy and, at the same time, offer the favourite local ingredients (excellent fish, savoury meat, ripe vegetables...) but cooked in a new way, following our own special style. We should like to introduce to you new exciting flavours, make you discover unknown virtues of already famous food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where to spend happy hours. at the restaurant Gianni’s in Xaghra (Gozo)
After closing the restaurant, we are selling all kinds of kitchen and bar equipment, from machinery to dishes and glasses, from great wines to tools for food decoration.
Useful items in both private and restaurant kitchens!
Items include, but are not limited to:
*food processors,
*burners and induction plates,
*microwave oven,
*many different kinds of dishes in different shapes and sizes,
*silicon molds for cakes and muffins,
*decoration tools for fancy dinner parties,
*pans and pots in different sizes, for different needs,
*high quality paper napkins
*fabric-like table runners
*seat mats in real wool
*glasses of various kinds

*high quality wines for any taste

Dear friends, esteemed guests.
This is not an easy post to write for us, but many people have been asking us when we will open again after winter break and we can't postpone this communication anymore.
Unluckily, one of the main pillars of our restaurant, Gianni, has to leave the activity. After delighting many of you with his delicate and special dishes, the moment has come for him to retire from behind the burners, as his health doesn't allow him to bear anymore the long hours and hard job that they come with.
We keep believing, though, in our values and our quality, which we always did our best to deliver.
We would be really happy to pass down our baby and knowledge to someone willing to keep working the way we did.
The opportunities, for someone interested, would be many and great and include:
- start with a knwon and well running activity, instead of starting from scratch
- take over pre-agreements and requests for groups
- be flanked by Gianni for the first months of activity
- learn all the secrets and recipes form Gianni himself
- learn from Stefano how he managed to make every guest feel at home and appreciated
