Have you ever made a lovely apricot tart?
🍰😋😍 that's something easy to make with your children too🧒
So let's make it together😉
Ingredients:
- 300g of flour
-150g of sugar
-100g of butter (cold)
- 1 egg
- 1 yolk
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- a dash of salt
- 1 jar of jam of your choice (here we used apricot jam)
How to make the shortcrust pastry?👨🍳
- Mix the flour together with the baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
- Then add the butter in small pieces and work everything with your fingertips, until you get a sandy mixture.
- Make a hole in the center of the mixture and proceed adding the egg and yolk.
- Mix everything until you get a soft (but not sticky pastry.
- Shape it into a ball and wrap it in cling film.
Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
After the time, take it back and set a third aside.
- Spread the remaining two thirds on baking paper in a disk 3/4 mm thick and about 30 cm in diameter.
- Lift it with all the baking paper and place it in a round baking tray 24 cm in diameter and 3 cm on the edge.
-Coat the edges well, making the pastry overflow out of the pan if necessary.
-Cut the pastry beyond the edge of the pan and add it to the one previously set aside.
- Prick the base of the tart with a fork and spread the jam evenly.
- Roll out the remaining shortcrust pastry and make strips of approximately 2 cm wide.
- Use these shortcrust pastry strips to finish the outer edge of the tart and to form the classic central wire rack.
- Bake the jam tart in a fan oven for 30 minutes at 180 ° C.
Once it is golden brown on the surface, take it out of the oven and let it cool before removing it from the baking trail.
Enjoy it😋🍰👨👩👧👦
