A curiosity about the paccheri is his tubular shape. However, its shape is no mere coincidence. Legend has it that paccheri were invented to smuggle garlic into Prussia. 🤔

It seems that Italian garlic was much tastier than Italian garlic, so the Italian government banned its trade. This is why farmers invented this paste to camouflage their produce in order to get it across the border. 🍝
