Sometimes it’s good to look back and remember your why.
Long before Gemma Joe’s, there were two brothers, a lot of road trips, vans, campsites, mountains, deserts, roadside stops and a pretty strong desire to build a life that actually felt like ours.
Looking through these old photos now, it’s funny how much of what eventually became Gemma Joe’s was already there.
The Americana. The vans. The open road. The adventure. The freedom. And probably most importantly, the idea that life’s too short not to have a go at living it the way you want to.
This week hasn’t quite gone to plan. An AC problem has kept us closed for a few nights just as we were getting ready to bring more of the menu back. Frustrating, definitely — but it’s just another bump in a pretty long road.
So we went back through some old photos and remembered where a lot of this started.
We’re still here. Still pumped. Still building. And still trying to live this thing with zero regrets.
Plenty of road ahead. ❤️
