Italian gelato-makers, a former BBC journalist, an Italian lawyer, and a former Italian car executive. The partners formulated the idea, in the city of Bologna, of producing a gelato with uncompromising quality. The name RivaReno is taken from a neighbourhood in Bologna that bears the same name. Then other stores followed in Turin, Milano Marittima, Ferrara, Florence, Rome and the numbers keep growing. The first store outside Italy opened in January 2013 in Sydney, Australia. Now RivaReno also found its's way to the Maltese Islands.
