𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫
Once upon a time, in a cosy corner of the world, we opened a little café called Firefly. It wasn’t about coffee and croissants… it was a dream… One we poured ourselves into, day by day. Firefly became a place where laughter hung in the air, familiar faces became family, and where the light always felt a little warmer. ✨
And then there was Aurora… our little firecracker of a niece. The more time we spent with her, the more we saw how much we’d been running on empty! We weren’t really there… not fully. Not for her, not for the rest of our family, and not for ourselves!
Then came Emilia and Nelson 💖 two new little stars in our family’s universe…. Holding them… we couldn’t shake the feeling that life was happening all around us, and we were missing too much of it.. Not because we didn’t care, but because we were stretched too thin to catch it all.
This year also brought loss… And in the heartbreak, we realised: we couldn’t keep waiting for “later.” The time to live… truly live… is always now!!
So, with full hearts (and a few tears), we’ve chosen to close Firefly (in about a month) - a silent promise, thanks to this little girl who has been gently asking for more of us, and who unknowingly helped us realise what we don’t want to keep missing out on❣️
But this isn’t the end of the story... It’s just a new chapter. One where we get to slow down. Where we get to show up. Where we make space for the parts of life we don’t want to miss anymore.
To everyone who ever walked through our doors… who laughed, lingered, connected, or simply sat and sipped - thank you. 🙏🏻 You made Firefly magic. 🪄
We don’t know what comes next... Maybe one day we’ll open the doors again. But for now, we’re stepping away… for love, for the ones who feel like home, for wagging tails and warm cuddles, all the quiet moments that matter more than anything, and because we believe in doing what feels right, even when it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.
It’s been one hell of a ride.
