Tastees Manufacturing Limited is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician I to join our team and help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our production facility.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
✅ Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including inspections, servicing, component replacement, and lubrication using approved food-grade materials.
✅ Carry out corrective maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and basic electrical faults, responding promptly to breakdowns, and recommending long-term solutions to recurring issues.
✅ Conduct daily equipment monitoring checks to identify wear, abnormal noise, vibration, leaks, and other potential faults, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
✅ Ensure full compliance with Food Safety & Hygiene standards, including HACCP and IFS requirements, while preventing contamination risks during maintenance activities.
✅ Maintain facility infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, doors, drainage, ventilation, and utility systems, while supporting pest control measures through proper facility upkeep.
✅ Follow all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring guards and protective devices are in place and reporting hazards immediately.
✅ Keep accurate maintenance records, logs, checklists, and reports, and support audits through proper documentation.
✅ Assist with spare parts and tools management, monitoring stock levels, maintaining tools in good condition, and identifying procurement requirements.
✅ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and enhancing equipment performance.
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
✔ Valid Electrician Licence B
✔ Knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical maintenance
✔ Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently
✔ Understanding of HACCP, IFS, food safety, and hygiene requirements is considered an asset
✔ Good organizational and record-keeping skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Willingness to work flexible hours when required, including during breakdowns and planned shutdowns

• Work closely with production staff and supervisors
• Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management
