I haven’t been baking cakes for sale for quite some time. Since I don’t have my baking supplies with me and it’s not very convenient to run a baking business here, I haven’t been taking any orders. Last week, however, it was my friend’s daughter’s birthday. Using the ingredients and tools I had available, I baked a cake for her and gave it to her as a birthday gift. It was a simple gesture, but it brought me joy to bake again and celebrate her special day.
