Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team. We need someone who is passionate about hospitality, has a keen eye for detail, and can create and maintain a great dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's operations: Ensuring that the food is prepared to the correct standards, that the service is efficient and friendly, and that the restaurant is clean and tidy. The restaurant manager may also need to oversee other aspects of the business, such as marketing and social media.
Ensure that food and beverage standards are met: Tasting food to ensure that it is of the correct quality, checking food temperatures to ensure that they are safe, and ensuring that all food is stored correctly. The restaurant manager may also need to work with the chef to develop new dishes and menus.
Provide excellent customer service: Greeting customers when they arrive, taking their orders, and ensuring that they have a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant manager may also need to deal with customer complaints and resolve any issues.
Manage the staff: Scheduling shifts, training staff, and conducting performance evaluations. The restaurant manager may also need to deal with staff disciplinary issues.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues: Listening to customer complaints, understanding the issue, and taking steps to resolve it. The restaurant manager may also need to apologize to the customer and offer them a solution.
Financial Management: Creating and managing the restaurant's budget, monitoring cash flow, paying bills and managing accounts payable, tracking inventory levels and ordering supplies, analyzing financial reports, and making recommendations for improvement. The restaurant manager must have a strong understanding of financial concepts and be able to make sound financial decisions in order to ensure the financial success of the business.
Work with Restaurant Team to develop and implement marketing plans: Creating marketing materials, such as flyers and social media posts, and developing strategies to attract new customers. The restaurant manager may also need to track the results of marketing campaigns.
Comply with all health and safety regulations: Ensuring that the restaurant is clean and tidy, that food is stored correctly, and that staff are trained in food safety procedures. The restaurant manager may also need to keep records of food safety inspections.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
2. Proven 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.
3. Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Proficient in MS Office and restaurant management software.
6. Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
7. Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
8. Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays as required.
