Do you know what happened on 4 December 2015?

Yes — UniCon Cafe, your longest-living geek / weeb / gamer / otaku / and-everything-nice place in Riga, opened its doors for the very first time!

It has been a pleasure to be with you all for such a long time! And to celebrate this occasion, we’re planning a humble anniversary gathering — nothing too fancy (we already have four big parties planned for December alone!) — but we will share a festive cake with you!

So on 4 December 2025, from 14:00 to 23:00, feel free to drop by, enjoy some cake, and have a friendly chat with the UniCon Cafe founders — Parva and Alexy.

Cake is free (quantity is limited)!

On the eve of our 10th anniversary we are updating our rules!

Thank you all for being with us all those amazing 9 years and 11 months! Now it is the time for the change!

Here is a list of major changes we are going to do starting from today (yesterday):

Going away from Board Games Cafe concept:
Yes, we are not only canceling the "AntiCafe" concept but significantly decreasing the amount of board games available for our visitors while shifting the focus on events and bar menu.

Introducing Board Game Lounge:
“Drink Credit” for the Board Game Lounge is 10 EUR per hour per table - which goes on your tab (you can use a table to play boardgames for an hour for 10 eur and also have drinks for 10 eur from the menu). Up to 6 people per table. Limited number of Board Game Lounge tables available.

Events and Communities:
This November we are hosting at least one small themed event or massive party dedicated to some of the geek culture topics. We hope to keep up the pace and provide you with space and reason to go out and celebrate things you love.

You can also propose your themes and events to us.

Expedition 33: The Battle Begins!

The fight starts at 18:00 — and only 30 brave adventurers will get a spot!
Registration will take place from 16:30 to 17:30, so don’t be late!

To ensure a fair game, we’ll provide baguettes for everyone.
Rules: if your baguette falls, breaks, or your opponent takes a bite out of it — you’re out!

Alongside our regular drink menu, we’ll also have a couple of special themed drinks for the night.

Gear up, gather your squad, and get ready for the ultimate Expedition 33 challenge at UniCon Cafe!
