At Curious Buds, we have always believed that quality goes beyond trends. From day one, we focused on carefully selected coffees from some of the best roasters in Europe, prepared with skill and intention. Matcha has also been part of what we do from the very beginning, long before it became as popular as it is today.

Seeing how much you connected with it made one thing clear: it deserved its own identity. That is how Matcha Lab was born.

🍪☕️ This position is split between dedicated cookie preparation days (working independently on dough and ingredient organisation) and café shifts working with customers at the bar.

The role is mainly based in Strassen and includes weekend availability.

Not having an elaborate food menu is a conscious choice. We want the coffee experience to stay at the centre.
That’s why we make our own cookies in-house: delicious, comforting, intentional.

We’ve been surrounded by it for more than a decade, so we sometimes forget that this might be your very first experience with it, and we’re excited to share it with you.

☕️ Specialty coffee is fully traceable back to the farm or processing station, often single origin so you can taste the true character of one place. It is roasted lightly because there is nothing to hide, and brewing it well requires skill — our baristas are trained to bring out the coffee’s terroir, variety and processing method with care and precision.

Many cafes use dark roast blends because they are easier to work with. The darker roast hides defects, tastes the same no matter the origin and is more forgiving during brewing, but it also takes away the natural sweetness, clarity and nuance of the bean.

⛰️ As you explore the world of coffee, it helps to know what goes into the value of your cup — the sourcing, the roast and the brewing all shape the final flavour. We simply hope you get to taste the quality, care and honesty that truly define specialty coffee.

Think of it as a little flavour adventure in a cup, and you are invited!👅✨️

The year is coming to an end, and just before we dive into the busy December rush, we want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for your support, for showing up, and for sharing our passion for coffee. ✨️

We feel the warmth you bring into our spaces every day, and we’re grateful for the kindness you show our team and to one another. This is the culture we dream of building, starting right here in our little corners of Ville Haute and Strassen. 🤍
