🎬 Kino-Tipp | NAZA
After winning the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature with „No Other Land“ (2024), a duo of the four directors from the Palestinian-Israeli collective of activists comes back with their latest act of resistance, the documentary film „Naza“. Produced by The Guardian and the team behind „The Zone of Interest“, the film exposes the AI-assisted systems behind Israel's calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, all through the secret conversations on the rooftops of Tel Aviv with those who designed and operated them. Winner of the Special Jury Prize in Venice, „Naza“ is a documentary that urges to be seen.

🎬 Kino-Tipp | Digger
After „Birdman“, „The Revenant“ (both Oscar winners) and „Bardo“ (2022), Alejandro González Iñárritu is back with his latest film „Digger“, starring Tom Cruise and lensed in 35 mm by Emmanuel Lubezki, the frequent collaborator also of Terrence Malick and Alfonso Cuaron.
Instead of wondering what would happen if a comet strikes the Earth, or if there is an alien invasion, Iñárritu is asking us simply „What if humanity happened to humanity?“ and unfolds a completely different vision of an apocalypse. When the most powerful man in the world will embark on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity's savior, the disaster he unleashes might destroy everything.
