I met a friend at the bank yesterday who used to be one of my best customers when she was at the university.
I’ve been running a pastry shop at AMEU since 2017, and she especially loved our cassava bread.
During our conversation she asked, “Bamah, where are you now?” I told her her the location of our main branch for now and mentioned she’d see a big sign for Bamah Catering Services. She was surprised and asked, “Catering? You do catering too, besides the shop on AMEU campus?” I was surprised she didn’t know I offered catering.
She said she was serious , she didn't ’t know, and she often looks for caterers through her office. I then pulled out my phone to show her photos of recent events I’d catered. She pointed out that we’re friends on Facebook and asked why I hadn’t posted any of my catering work there recently. She scrolled through my page and said, “Bamah, I’ve looked through many posts and I don’t see any pictures of you or your team catering.”
That moment made me realize I’ve been neglecting my business branding. Honestly, in the last month I’ve catered over 10 events but haven’t posted a single photo or video on social media.
I accept that I need help.
I need to hire someone qualified to manage my social media and brand presence.
Someone who's good with photos and videos too.
