The only property in Sri Lanka recognised with two Michelin Keys, Wild Coast Tented Lodge is poised between jungle and ocean, combining safari adventures with sustainable design and indulgent stays. This spectacular luxury tented lodge is situated on a rugged, empty beach, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Starring locally sourced, recycled materials, the 28 eco-conscious Cocoon Rooms and the bamboo-c

lad bar and restaurant were ingeniously fashioned by local fishermen, specially up-skilled for the task (and now equipped with an alternative source of income). Utterly rooted in its rugged setting, Wild Coast Tented Lodge gives back to its community, allocating 10% of profits to social justice projects and the environment, via the MJF Charitable Foundation and Dilmah Conservation. Inspired by our wave-swept, jungle setting, Wild Coast Tented Lodge serves relaxed fine-dining with wild twists. Meals are served in our ocean-breeze Dining Pavilion, revealing enticing views of the pool, parkland and ocean, although guests can also request an intimate meal in a choice of unforgettable settings such as in the bush or on the lofty sand dunes, overlooking the rolling waves below.

Some moments ask nothing of you but stillness.

A herd pauses mid-graze, ears turning, eyes finding the lens, as if the wild had decided to look back.

Every corner of Wild Coast Tented Lodge tells a story before you even ask.

Curiosities collected over lifetimes, sitting quietly — like a collector's den that just happens to double as a lodge.

This isn't decor. It's a curated wander through time, wrapped in wilderness.

A yawn that could stop the jungle in its tracks. Yala's leopards rule this wilderness with quiet, unbothered confidence, and we're lucky enough to call it their backyard.

Yala doesn't do off-seasons. Whether it's golden grasslands drying out under the summer sun or lagoons filling up after the rains, this wilderness keeps rewriting itself.

Sri Lanka. Always in Season.

Wild Coast is back - refreshed, renewed, and wilder than ever.

Following a thoughtful refresh, our spaces have been reimagined to deepen the sense of place that defines the Wild Coast experience. Guests can now discover the newly opened Library Cocktail Bar, renewed dining spaces, and the completion of Project Boulder, following the introduction of the Quarry Gym and Fossil Room.

To mark this new chapter, we celebrated the art, culture, and traditions of the region with vibrant peacock dancers, a traditional Wes dancer welcome, and the ceremonial boiling of the milk pot, where milk overflowed in all directions - a cherished symbol of prosperity, abundance, and good fortune. Deeply rooted in our environment, we also planted native trees during the celebration as our way of giving back to the nature that sustains us.

Welcome back to the wild.
